Inserts an external thread from a standard content library.

Summary

A wizard enables you to select the type, the view, and the nominal diameter of the thread to insert. Only the external threads listed as standard content are available with this command. Use the AMCONTENTLIB command to access custom content.

Use the Select an External Thread dialog box to select the type and the view to insert. Depending on the selected view there are differences in the insertion process:

Insertion point

Specifies where to insert the thread.

Rotation angle

Specifies how far to rotate the thread about its insertion point.

Specify a length

Specifies the thread length by allowing you to drag the thread.
