About Using a Layer as a Selection Set (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

The AMLAYER command provides a convenient way to select objects on a layer.

When prompted to select objects, you can invoke the AMLAYER command as a transparent command (‘AMLAYER) and select all the objects on a layer, using the Use as Selection Set, right-click menu option.
