To Save an Image Without Saving Your Drawing

  1. Click Raster menu Save.
  2. Select the image(s) you want to save.
Note: You can also select the image first, and then right-click to display the shortcut menu where you can select ImageWriteSave.
  3. Press Enter to complete the selection set.

The image(s) you selected are saved.

If any of the images you select are unnamed, then the Save As dialog box is displayed so you can give the image a name, location, and file type. For more information, see Saving an Image to Another File Name, Type, or Location.

If your image does not save correctly, verify the following:
    • No copies of the image exist in other drawings.
    • The URL address you specified is correct.
    • The read-only attribute is not set on your disk.
Note: AutoCAD Raster Design toolset uses Single Image Optimization to speed up the editing commands.
