To Import CAiCE Binary Surface Data (XY#)

Import binary surface data from a CAiCE XY# file.

The XY# file is a binary file created by CAiCE that contains surface information. After the XY# file is imported, the data is translated into points and breaklines, which can be used to create a surface in Autodesk Civil 3D.

To import a surface from a CAiCE XY# file

1. In Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand Miscellaneous Utilities CAiCE Translator. Double-click Import CAiCE DTM Points (*XY).
2. In the Import Other Formats dialog box, navigate to the CAiCE project folder. Select the desired file. Click Open.
3. In the Create Surface dialog box, specify the surface creation parameters.

   To create a new surface using the imported survey data, click .

4. Click OK.

   The file is imported, and a surface is created in the drawing.
