DitchWithBermInFill

The DitchWithBermInFill subassembly places a ditch with predefined geometry and creates a berm in fill and cut conditions.

The slope of the berm is also predefined and the link that is created extends until it finds a surface target.

Attachment

The attachment point is at the inside edge of the first link.

Input Parameters

Note: All dimensions are in meters or feet unless otherwise noted. All slopes are in run-over-rise form (for example, 4 : 1) unless indicated as a percent slope with a “%” sign.

Parameter

Description

Type

Default

Side

Specifies which side to place the subassembly.

Left/Right

Right

Side Slope

Ditch side slope.

Numeric, positive

3 (: 1)

Daylight Slope

The slope of the daylight link.

Numeric, positive

2 (: 1)

Bottom Width

Width of the bottom of the ditch.

Numeric, positive

2 ft

0.60 m

Side Slope Width

Width of the side slope.

Numeric, positive

4 ft

1.20 m

Target Parameters

This section lists the parameters in this subassembly that can be mapped to one or more target objects. For more information, see To Specify Corridor Targets.

Parameter

Description

Status

Daylight Surface

Name of the daylighting surface. The following object types can be used as targets for specifying the surface: surfaces.

Required

Runtime Logical Assignments

None.

Output Parameters

None.

Behavior

The subassembly builds the shape for a ditch using the input parameters. Once the ditch shape is built the ditch is determined to be in cut or fill. If in cut, a daylight link is added using the daylight slope. If in fill, a berm is created using the side slope width.

Layout Mode Operation

In layout mode the subassembly displays the links comprising the ditch in the fill condition.

Point, Link, and Shape Codes

The following table lists the point, link, and shape codes for this subassembly that have codes assigned to them. Point, link, or shape codes for this subassembly that do not have codes assigned are not included in this table.
