About the Event Viewer Messages That Are Displayed When Importing and Exporting Storm Sewer Data

Event Viewer messages alert you to certain conditions when importing and exporting Storm Sewer data.

The following table provides information on some of the messages that can be displayed in the Event Viewer when importing or exporting Storm Sewer data.

Event Viewer Message Description
Multiple barrels were found in the .stm file. The import is successful, however, one or more pipe networks in the .stm file contained a No. of Barrels property that is set to more than 1. In Storm Sewers a No. of Barrels property that is set to more than 1 creates two lines (pipes) with the same size, invert, slope, and so on, in parallel. Autodesk Civil 3D cannot represent pipes in this way. Therefore, when you attempt to import a Storm Sewers file that contains No. of Barrels set to more than 1, Autodesk Civil 3D ignores this value, and displays this message in the Event Viewer.
Error importing pipe network <pipe network name>: The current layer is locked. You attempted to import pipe network data from an .stm file when the current layer in the drawing is locked, or the object layers for pipes or structures is locked. In this case, no new pipe networks are created, and no existing pipe networks are overwritten. The import is aborted. Unlock appropriate layers and try importing again.
Error overwriting pipe network <pipe network name>: Objects reside on a locked layer. You attempted to update an existing pipe network with a pipe network from an .stm file when the current layer in the drawing is locked, or the object layers for pipes or structures is locked. In this case, no new pipe networks are created, and no existing pipe networks are overwritten. The import is aborted. Unlock appropriate layers and try importing again.
Pipe or structure <pipe or structure name> was not matched exactly. The closest larger matching part size was used. The import was successful; however, one or more Storm Sewers parts could not find part sizes that matched exactly with Autodesk Civil 3D part sizes. In cases like this, Autodesk Civil 3D uses the closest larger part size for the imported Storm Sewer part.
