To create a stock model

1. Right-click Stock Models in the Part View and select Add Stock Model.
2. Enter a Name for the new stock model.
3. Enter a Step Size to edit the step between slices.
4. Enter a Tolerance to control the resolution of the stock model. Decreasing the tolerance increases the precision of the slices which is useful for smaller parts, but this may cause FeatureCAM to run slower.
5. Select whether to create the stock model from:
   • Stock — This is the existing stock.
   • Solid — Select a solid in the menu.
   • STL — Select an STL file in the menu.
   • Operation results — Select from the available 2.5D operations, a 3D Z-level rough, or a 3D parallel rough operation in the menu.
6. Click OK to create the new stock model.

   The stock model is displayed below Stock Models in the Part View.
