You can use the Tool Usage tab of the Turning Feature Properties dialog to edit the tools usage settings for machining a Turning feature.
The Tool Usage tab for turning features contains the following attributes:
Tool — This displays the name of the tool for the operation selected in the tree view.
Tool Post — If you are doing multi-turret turning, select which tool post to use to cut the selected operation.
Turret Direction — Select Auto to enable FeatureCAM to calculate the direction for the operation. You can also set this option explicitly to CW (clockwise) or CCW (counter-clockwise).
Machine with — For Swiss machines where the tool post and the stock are both capable of moving in Z, select Spindle Z or Tool Z to specify which axis to use to machine the feature. This option is unavailable if the selected tool post is not capable of moving in Z. To perform super-position machining, where multiple operations are machined simultaneously using both the tool and spindle Z, set the operations to be machined using different Z axes, then sync the operations in the Tool Posts tab of the Results window.
Parking Z for spindle/tool — For Swiss machines where the tool post and the stock are both capable of moving in Z, specify the Z parking position of the inactive axis.
