Working with groups

To create a group

  1. Select the features you want to group.
  2. Select Features & Manufacturing tab > Pattern & Group panel > Group.

To add a feature to a group

  1. Double-click the group in the Part View.
  2. In the Dimensions tab of the Feature Group Properties dialog, select the feature in the list at the bottom of the dialog.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Click OK.

To remove a feature from a group

  1. Double-click the group in the Part View.
  2. In the Dimensions tab of the Feature Group Properties dialog, click Delete.
  3. Click OK.

To change the machining order of a group

  1. Double-click the group in the Part View.
  2. In the Dimensions tab of the Feature Group Properties dialog, select Ordered.
  3. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the order of the objects in the group.
  4. Click OK.

To move a group

  1. Double-click the group in the Part View.
  2. In the Location tab of the Feature Group Properties dialog, select Relative Position.
  3. Enter the distance to move the group in X, Y, and Z.

    The group is moved by the specified distance, and the features in the group keep their positions relative to each other.

  4. Click OK.

To ungroup features

  1. Select the group in the Part View.
  2. Select Features & Manufacturing tab > Pattern & Group panel > Ungroup.
