A Factory Design Utilities installation supplement for Product Design & Manufacturing Collection Subscribers.

Installation

The Autodesk desktop app replaces the Autodesk Application Manager for installing products, receiving product notifications, downloading updates, and accessing learning tools. It is installed by default with all Windows-based Autodesk products. However, as an administrator you can prevent the installation of the Autodesk desktop app on workstations in your network when creating a deployment.

Licensing

When performing a stand-alone installation, you no longer provide the serial number and product code during the installation process. Instead, you enter this information when you first launch the software.

For Suite Customers

Note: You can install Product Design Suite and Factory Design Suite on the same computer. If you install the Factory Design Suite on a computer that has the Product Design Suite, the Factory Design Utilities are added to the existing Inventor installation.

Note: Inventor Professional replaces Inventor, and Navisworks Manage replaces Simulate.
