Ever since the introduction of the DNx compression, Avid has based the compression names on their data rate per second.
But with the introduction of Media Composer 2019.12, Avid changed the name of the DNxHD compressions to instead reflect the quality of the encoding.
Flame Family products use the new naming convention. This does not affect compatibility of older DNxND media files.
