Deployments are now created from Autodesk Account. For more information, see Create Deployments from Autodesk Account. In Autodesk Account, after selecting Civil 3D in the panel on the left, click the Customization and Extensions arrows in the panel on the right to expand the menus.
The following customization options are available on the Civil 3D deployment page of Autodesk Account.
Under the Select Profiles to Install section of the deployments you can select imperial or metric profiles to install. By default, both are installed.
Under Create Desktop Shortcut, you can select a check box to create a desktop shortcut for running Civil 3D as AutoCAD. Running Civil 3D as AutoCAD runs the application with AutoCAD functionality but not Civil 3D functionality.
Under the Configurable Folders section of the deployments page, you can specify custom locations for folders with specific content.

Under Install Optional Tools, you can specify whether to install Express Tools.
Under Access to Online Resources, you can specify whether to allow users to access online content (such as online Help) when it is available and whether to allow users to access Autodesk Account from within Civil 3D.
