To Work with Welding Symbols (GOST Standard)

Add the welding symbol to identify the type of weld to use at a specific location on the drawing. Annotations can appear above and below the reference line and the leader line points to the welding joint location.

Add welding symbols in GOST drawings

  1. On the ribbon, click Annotate (ESKD) tabSymbols panelWelding Symbol .
  2. In the graphic window, click the location on the drawing where you want to add the welding symbol.
  3. Move the cursor to a different location. A leader line extends from the target to the cursor.
  4. Click to set a point.
  5. In the Welding Symbol dialog box, add the weld information. Add the appropriate weld information or use the context-menu options.

Add more information

  1. Expand >> the Welding Symbol dialog box.
  2. In the Symbol section, select one or more symbols to add to the welding symbol.
  3. To add Technical Requirements, in the Technical Requirements section, click Technical Requirements.
  4. In the Requirement section, add all requirements that apply to the weld. Add the appropriate weld information or use the context-menu options.
  5. Click OK.

Insert welding symbol from favorites

  1. Click Favorites.
  2. Click the Welding Annotation information you want to add to highlight it.
  3. Click OK.

Add surface texture symbol to weld

In the Welding Symbol dialog box, click Surface Texture.
