- On the ribbon, click Environments tab Convert panel Plug/Groove Weld Calculator .
- In the Calculation of Statically Loaded Weld area of the Calculation tab, select the calculation method.
- In the Calculation tab, enter input parameters.
- Click Calculate to calculate the joint. Result values are displayed in the Results area on the right side of the Calculation tab.
- Click OK to insert weld calculation into ProdName.

This procedure creates an example using the sample specifications.

- Start the Plug and Groove Weld Calculator.
- On the Calculation tab:
- Set the Standard Calculation procedure Method from the Calculation of Statically Loaded Weld area.
- Select the Weld Design: .
- Set the Acting force to 2000 N.
- Measure the Plate thickness from assembly - 10 mm.
- Set the Weld Diameter to 8 mm.
- Set the Number of Welds to 4.
- Select the Weld Material - Structural Steel A572-Grade42.
- Set the Safety Factor to 2.5.
- Click Calculate. See the results in the Results area.
- Click OK to insert calculation to the ProdName assembly.
Tip: Click the Results in the right upper corner to open the HTML report.
