You can activate, edit, rename, copy, delete, and control the visibility of an analysis.
Autodesk Inventor saves analyses in an Analysis folder in the browser. Each saved analysis is added to the browser in the order it is created. In the browser, the name and visibility of the active analysis is displayed after the Analysis folder name. For example, Analysis: Zebra1 (On). These types of analyses are available for part models only.
Expand the Analysis folder to view and manage all saved analyses. You can switch the active analysis or edit, copy, or delete any saved analysis.
Control Visibility of Analyses
- Click View tab
Visibility panel
Analysis.
- In the browser, right-click the Analysis folder and select Analysis Visibility.
- When there are multiple analyses, double-click an inactive analysis to activate it and display the analysis results on the model.
Note: The visibility state of an analysis is not saved with the analysis. If you save a part with analysis visible, it will not be visible the next time the part is opened.
You can turn visibility of the active analysis on and off. When visibility is off, the analysis results no longer appear on the model.
Edit an Analysis
- In the browser, expand the Analysis folder and do one of the following:
- Double-click the active analysis to edit the analysis parameters.
- Right-click the analysis and choose Edit from the context menu to edit a non-active analysis with visibility turned off.
Note: Double-clicking an analysis that is active and visible opens the setup dialog box for editing.
Tip: Right-click the Analysis folder and choose New [Analysis Name] from the context menu to create a new analysis.
Copy an Analysis
When a saved analysis is copied, it is automatically named and placed in the browser under the original.
- In the browser, expand the Analysis folder, right-click the analysis, and choose Copy from the context menu.
Rename an Analysis
- In the browser, expand the Analysis folder.
- Slow double-click the analysis name, and then change the text as needed.
