Keyway Groove with One Rounded End Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to enter parameters for round keyway feature.

Note: Type of the keyway groove is set automatically according to the key type.

Access

Ribbon: Design tab Power Transmission panel Shaft. On the Design tab, select Cylinder in the tree control. In the First edge features drop-down menu, select Keyway Groove with one rounded end

Dimensions

Enables keyway groove with one rounded end dimension editing.

Name

Displays the name of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable.

Size

Select the Size field to insert a value.

Select Measure from the context menu to measure dimension in the Autodesk Inventor window.

Select List Parameters to display list with parameters. Select to select the parameter and insert the value to the Size edit field.

Select Values from the context menu to see the list of recommended dimensions.

Description

Displays the description of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable.

Position

Use the drop-down menu to select key from the Content Center.

Note: To select a key from Content Center, connect to the Content Center server. When selecting a component from Content Center, deselect the Custom check box.

Based on your selection of a key from Content Center, the Shaft Component Generator reads the keyway data. This data is then used for keyway groove values. Key is not inserted with the shaft.

The type of the keyway groove is set automatically according to the key type.

Check the box to insert user values for keyway groove with one rounded end dimensions.

Note: You cannot edit values that are dimmed. They are calculated automatically.
