To Specify a New Drawing Text Style

Create drawing text styles for various purposes.

The default text style in a drawing is defined by the active drafting standard.

1. Click Manage tab Styles and Standards panel Styles Editor to open the Style and Standard Editor.
2. In the dialog box, expand the Standard node and select the Standard that will use the text style.
3. Expand the Text node in the list on the left.
4. Select a text style in the list and click New to create a new text style. Inventor creates a copy of the selected text style with the prefix "Copy of."
5. Rename the style to meet your requirements.
6. Optional: Clear the checkbox "Add to standard" if the style is not to be included in a drafting standard.
   Note: Why would you not include a text style in the drawing standard? The style may be used for checking and markup, or for training purposes. Thus, it would not be included in the normal drafting standard.
7. Set the text format using selections in the dialog box.
8. Save the new text style and close the Style and Standard Editor.
