File structure of mold design

A Mold Design assembly typically contains standard components that you can customize, and other components.

The following image shows a simplified file structure on a local disk. Bold branches indicate a folder on a local disk, which contains single files. Normal branches indicate single files.

Files that are created and loaded in the Mold Design application are collected in the Mold Design top folder. Standard components sort by type in separate folders. There are also folders that display the vendor and the type under the top folder of the component.

The Mold Design_Mold Base folder is the top folder for the mold base. For example, FUTABA_SA-S1 is a subfolder under the Mold Design_Mold Base folder, meaning the vendor of the loaded mold base FUTABA, and the type is SA-S1. The FUTABA_SA_S1 folder contains the mold base assembly file and its components.

The ejector is a special case. Another folder under the <Vendor>_<Type> folder is a group folder because the ejectors are placed, group by group, in the Mold Design application. The group is named as follows:

<Plastic Part>_Ejector Pin Group + number appendix
