To Work With iFeature Sketches for Positioning

When features are positioned the same way in multiple parts, using iFeatures containing layout sketches ensures accurate positioning.

Use a layout sketch to position geometry.

Sketch Lines as Layouts

1. Sketch lines at specific distances and angles, and then save as an iFeature.
2. Insert the iFeature sketch in a part, and then use the sketched geometry to position work planes.
3. Sketch features on the work planes.

Sketch Geometry or Points as Layouts

1. Sketch geometry or points, and then save as an iFeature.
2. Insert the iFeature sketch in a part, and then project geometry into other sketches.
3. Use those sketches to position geometry or create work features.
