Exercise 2: Save your tutorial maps

Copy the Map 3D Tutorials folder to Documents. That way, if you change the sample files, the original versions remain unchanged and can be used again and again.

To create a folder for your tutorial map files

1. Open File Explorer.
2. In File Explorer, switch to the \ProgramData\Autodesk\Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D 2022 folder.
3. Right-click the Map 3D Tutorials folder you created in Exercise 1 and click Copy.
4. Navigate to your Documents folder.
5. Paste the Map 3D Tutorials folder into your documents folder.

   A new folder is displayed, for example C:\Libraries\Documents\Map 3D Tutorials.

6. Add the location to the Favorites list in File Explorer, or make a note of it.
