Use this dialog box to specify the information you want to include in a feature tooltip.
Hyperlink
- Display Text
- Allows you to specify an expression that adds text to the tooltip that describes a URL.
You also have the option of setting an override expression to show alternate text. Clicking on the Override field produces a list of feature properties that you can assign to display in the tooltip. If an override entry is present, it takes precedence over the Display Text entry.
- Web Address
- Allows you to specify an expression that displays a link to a website to the tooltip.
Similar to Display Text, you can set an override for the web address. If present, that expression takes precedence over the Web Address setting.
Note: The Display Text and Web Address content has a 40 character limit. Anything beyond 40 characters is truncated.
Feature Properties
- Properties
- A list of all the properties associated with the selected feature. Choose the properties you want displayed by clicking the boxes next to the properties. By default, the first three properties are always enabled if there are more than three properties associated with the feature.
Calculations
- Create a Calculation
- Allows you to set a calculation as the tooltip. For example, you can create a calculation that multiplies one property by another. The result of that calculation is displayed in the tooltip.
For help with any expression element, see Creating Expressions - Reference.
- Manage Calculations
- Only displayed when calculations have already been created. Click to enable the calculation you want displayed in the tooltip.
To edit an existing calculation, click Manage Calculations .
