To Merge Features

When you want to merge two or more features, for example separate line segments that represent the same road, use the MAPFEATUREMERGE command.

To merge features

1. Optionally, specify merge rules.
   Note: To set these rules, in the Data Table click OptionsSet Split and Merge Rules.
2. If you do not have Auto Checkout turned on, check out the feature(s).

3. Select at least two objects, including at least one feature.
4. Click Feature Edit tabSplit/Merge panelMerge Feature Find.
5. Follow the MAPFEATUREMERGE prompts to specify whether the resulting feature will use a new or existing feature ID.
6. Check in the merged feature.
