Create polygon objects by selecting existing closed polyline objects and circles, or by specifying points.
The following procedure uses the
polygon command on the ribbon to create a regular, equilateral polygon. To create irregular polygons, use the
mpolygon command.
To create a polygon object
- Click
.
- Enter an integer to specify the number of sides for the polygon.
- Follow the command prompts to specify either the polygon center (default) or the first edge.
- If you specified the polygon center, select whether to inscribe the polygon inside a circle, or circumscribe it outside a circle, and then specify the circle radius. The polygon is drawn.
- If you specified the polygon edge, specify the first endpoint of an edge, and then the second endpoint of the edge. The polygon is drawn.
To set the
Fill property for polygon objects
- On the command line, enter mpfill. Press Enter.
- In the
Polygon Fill Properties dialog box, set the polygon fill properties.
These properties are applied to the polygon that you are drawing and all new polygons you create or convert.
