To Create a Coordinate System Category

In the Coordinate System Library, categories group related coordinate systems.

To create a coordinate system category

1. Click Map Setup tabCoordinate System panel Create Create Category.
2. In the Create Coordinate System Wizard, select Create A Coordinate System Category.
3. In the Create Category Wizard, enter a code for this category.

   Enter a code that is unique across all coordinate systems. It cannot contain spaces. Only the following characters are valid: A-Z (upper or lower case), 0-9, dash, and underscore. AutoCAD Map 3D toolset displays the code in the Coordinate System Library.

4. Select coordinate systems in the Available Coordinate Systems list on the left and click Add to move them to the Coordinate Systems In This Category list on the right.

   To remove a coordinate system from this category, select it in the right-hand list and click Remove.

5. When you have added the coordinate systems for this category, click Finish.
