Bones : System

Bones system objects are not creatable by MAXScript.

In versions prior to 3ds Max 4, aBones system was comprised of the Bone Helper objects, a driver IK controller, and driven IK controllers. The driven IK controllers are used as the transform controller for all nodes in the IK system, and the driver IK controller controls the individual driven IK controllers. The methods associated with the IK controller are described in IK_ControllerMatrix3Controller : Matrix3Controller.

Since 3ds Max 4, the Bones system uses BoneGeometry : GeometryClass objects instead of helpers, allowing for fins that can better represent the size and mass of the skeleton.
