This topic describes how to import or export Grease Pencil frames as archive files (.zip) using the Grease Pencil tools. Exporting Grease Pencil frames creates a archive that contains grease pencil images and their corresponding times. This lets you use Grease Pencil images in other applications. Importing a Grease Pencil archive updates the scene with the images in the archive at the correct times.
To import archived Grease Pencil frames:
- Open the Grease Pencil tools. (View > Camera Tools > Grease Pencil Tool.)
- In the Grease Pencil tools, click
. A file browser opens. - In the Import file browser window, locate the grease frame archive, and click Import.
The archive file is imported into your scene, with all the frames at their correct times.
To export your current scene's Grease Pencil frames:
- Open the Grease Pencil tools. (View > Camera Tools > Grease Pencil Tools.)
- In the Grease Pencil tools, click
. A file browser opens - In the Export file browser window, enter a file name for your grease frame archive, and click Export again.
The archive file is exported and saved under the name your entered.
