Deform > (Edit) Blend Shape > Bake Topology To Targets
With
Bake Topology to Targets, you can regenerate or update your blend shape deformations so that any topological changes made to the base object are also applied to its target objects. For more information, see
Propagate topological changes from base object to target objects.
Note:
-
Bake Topology to Targets produces the best results with polygonal geometry.
- The
Paint Blend Shape Weights Tool supports custom normals and UVs.
Topology propagation limitations
-
Bake Topology to Targets may cause vertex swapping in instances of dense topological data where many vertices are close together. For example, vertex swapping may occur at your model’s closed mouth. To prevent vertex swapping in this instance, open your model’s mouth before using
Bake Topology to Targets.
-
Bake Topology to Targets may produce undesirable results when performed on selected subsets.
-
Bake Topology to Targets works with NURBS geometry, but the resulting target object deformations may not look exactly like those of the base object.
