When working in a scene with many layers, you may want to streamline the Render Setup editor so that it only lists the layers that you are currently working on.
Select the layers that you want to see in the Render Setup editor, then click .
By default, the active render layer is also listed when you click this icon. To list only the selected layers and not the active layer, disable Options > Always list visible layer.
As soon as you re-enable Always list visible layer, the visible layer is listed again.
To disable this feature, toggle off this icon. A highlighted indicates that the option is on, while denotes that it is off. Any layer or collection that you have selected remains selected upon disabling the feature.
You must select the layer itself for it to be listed. You cannot select only its collections or overrides.
This feature does not affect export or save. File > Export All (in the Render Setup editor) always exports the entire render setup, including layers that are not listed. Saving the scene also saves all layers.
In this example, the Characters layer is visible, and the Set and Pictures layers are selected. Always list visible layer is also enabled. Only these three layers are listed when is toggled on. When this feature is toggled off, all layers are listed again, and the selection of layers and collections remains unchanged.
