Materials

Material Attributes

Opens the Attribute Editor for the shading group and material assigned to the selected surface. See also:

Assign New Material

Opens the Assign New Material window. Select from the available materials.

Assign Favorite Material

Assigns one of the shading groups in the Assign Favorite Material sub-menu to all selected surfaces.

This menu updates when you update your Favorites list in the Hypershade or Create Render Node window.

Assign Existing Material

Assigns one of the shading groups in the Assign Existing Material sub-menu to all selected surfaces. This menu updates depending on the materials you create.

Baking

Transfer Maps
Open the Transfer Maps tool to transfer mesh characteristics from one mesh to a texture map on another. See Transfer Maps options for more information.

Light Linking Editor menu

Light-Centric: Open the Relationship Editor in Light centric Light Linking mode.

Object-Centric: Open the Relationship Editor in Object centric Light Linking mode.

Make Light Links

Link lights and objects so that specific surfaces are illuminated.

Break Light Links

Break links between lights and objects.

Select Objects Illuminated by Light

Select all objects lit by a selected light.

Select Lights Illuminating Object

Select all lights illuminating selected objects.

Make Shadow Links

Create shadow links between lights and objects. Link lights and objects so that selected objects only cast shadows from lights with which they are linked.

Break Shadow Links

Break shadow links between lights and objects. If the shadow link between a light and an object is broken, the object will not cast shadow from this light.

Select Objects Shadowed by Light
Select all objects receiving shadows from the selected light.
Select Lights Shadowing Object
Select the lights shadowing the selected object.
