Optimize the Model

Evaluate the model structure in multiple passes to produce the optimum lattice within design parameters

Regenerate the default model as the basis for the optimization process.

1. In the Toolbar, Actions panel, click Create Component > Default.

   The model is regenerated.

2. In the Properties Panel, click the Optimization tab.
3. Set up optimization parameters as shown below:
   
4. In the Toolbar, click Optimize Component.

   As optimization progresses, you can see changes in the Volume Reduction Coefficient in the Properties Panel, on the Component tab.

5. Review stress and displacement results for optimization. Note where lattice bars were thickened in the optimization process.
