To Move Nodes

  1. From the toolbar, click Select.
  2. Select the node(s) to be moved. Use the CTRL or Shift keys to select multiple nodes.
  3. Use one of the following methods to move the selected node(s):
    • Click and drag the node. Make sure the Drag and Drop check box is activated.
    • Click the six arrow buttons on the Node tab to move the node up, down, left, right, front, or back a distance of one grid line.
    • Enter specific coordinates in the Position fields and click Place.

If you have already attached bars or faces to the nodes, the bars and faces are moved with the nodes and their geometry or direction are changed accordingly.

If the Enforce Cell Size check box is enabled, you cannot move nodes out of the cell. If it is disabled, nodes can be moved outwards and overlapping structure cells can be constructed. Whenever you enable or disable this check box, it is switched accordingly for all other tabs.
