To Move Bars

  1. From the toolbar, click Select.
  2. Select the bar(s) to be moved. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select multiple bars.
  3. Use one of the following methods to move the selected bar(s):
    • Click and drag the bar. Make sure the Drag and Drop check box is enabled.
    • Click the six arrow buttons on the Bar tab to move the node up, down, left, right, front, or back a distance of one grid line.

When you move a bar, all nodes attached the bar are moved with it. Consequently, all other elements connected to those nodes are moved, and their geometry and direction can be changed.

If the Enforce Cell Size check box is enabled, you cannot move bars out of the cell. If it is disabled, bars can be moved outwards and overlapping structure cells can be constructed. Whenever you enable or disable this check box, it is switched accordingly for all other tabs.
