How to generate a heatmap overlay on parts to visualize distances between their surfaces
This requires at least two distinct parts. The meshes cannot belong to (ie. be shells of) the same part.
Setting up the comparison
- Select the part to be used as reference.
- From the main menu, choose
Analyze >
Compare.
- In the appearing dialog, select another part from the Comparison drop-down menu.
- Click Compare.
Tip: Use the
Compare Direction drop-down menu and the
Switch Meshes button to make adjustments to the comparison order.
