Let
Netfabb output part and platform information as digital documents
Reports help assemble information on the current state of the build platform, on parts and their quality, and other properties and provide it in a standardized format that can be used for estimates, quotations, and similar purposes.
Reports in
Netfabb
Reports may include screenshots and values from the build platform. Reporting is also aware of the currently active feature when a report is being created. For example, creating a report while a loaded machine workspaces is selected, the
Build Time Estimate may be available if the workspace is able to provide such estimate.
There are two kinds of templates, Pentaho, and ODT. To edit either of them, you need third-party software.
-
Netfabb supports Pentaho-type templates created and maintained using Pentaho Report Designer
7.1, available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pentaho/files/Report%20Designer/
Important: For compatibility reasons, we strongly recommend matching
Netfabb's version with the supported Pentaho Report Designer version.
Netfabb 2018.2 and newer support Pentaho Report Designer version 7.1. For
Netfabb versions earlier than 2018.2, use 7.0 or earlier.
Note: Do not use any newer version if available until advised by Autodesk as incompatibilities may occur.
- ODT-type templates require an ODT-compatible office software such as OpenOffice, available here:
https://www.openoffice.org/
- For using either format, Java Runtime 1.8.0_25 64-bit or higher must be installed, and the path to
java.exe must be known to
Netfabb (see
Settings).
