In this method a fixed vector is projected onto the element x-y plane to compute the material orientation vector.
Components of a vector can be entered to specify the material orientation.
Then click the OK button.
In the plane mesh model shown below, the arrows pointing towards bottom right on the top face are the material orientation symbols produced by the (1, 1, 1) Vector Projection method.
Similarly, a vector (1, -1,1) would produce the following orientation pointing towards the top right corner of the plate’s top face.
