To Draw a Quick Line Takeoff

Trace an existing line segment or multiple line segments, to create a takeoff.

Use for: Tracing lengths or perimeters in existing geometry.

1. In the Quantification workbook, select the Item you want to associate with your takeoff.
2. On the 2D Takeoff toolbar, click Quick Line .
3. On the 2D sheet, hover a line segment. The line is highlighted and the Quick Line menu appears.
   Tip: Right-click the highlighted line segment to create an instant takeoff.
4. Alternatively, from the Quick Line menu, click a geometry option from the following:
   1. Single line segment.
   2. Polyline.
   3. Curve.
   4. All connected curves.

   Your geometry selection is highlighted on the sheet, and the takeoff appears in the Quantification workbook. Depending on the complexity of your selection, one or more takeoffs may appear in the Takeoff pane.
