To Draw a Rectangle Polyline Takeoff

Record a rectangle or square.

Use for: Tracing room perimeters, and regular square or rectangle linear (non-area) shapes. You can move the vertices of your markup once drawn, to create a different quadrilateral shape.

  1. In the Quantification workbook, select the Item you want to associate with your Rectangle Polyline.
  2. On the 2D Takeoff toolbar, click Rectangle Polyline .
  3. On the 2D sheet, move your cursor to the position you want to start.
    Note: Notice the cursor changes to a green snap vertex when it intersects geometry.
  4. Click and hold, then drag to create a rectangle or square. Alternatively, click to position a vertex, move your mouse, then click again. The properties of your Rectangle Polyline appear in the Takeoff Pane.
  5. To change the line thickness of your markup, open the Item Catalog and type a value in the Line Thickness field.
