To indent and outdent tasks in the task hierarchy

1. If the TimeLiner window is not already open, click Home tab Tools panel TimeLiner.
2. In the TimeLiner window Task tab, click the tasks you want to move:
   • Click Indent to indent the selected tasks by one level in the task hierarchy
   • Click Outdent to outdent the selected tasks by one level in the task hierarchy
   Note: If the selected tasks contain child tasks, then the child tasks will be moved with the summary tasks, and their relationship maintained. If indenting or outdenting of tasks results in a task becoming a summary task, then it will lose any costs assigning to it and take on the costs of its child tasks.
