To Draw a Quick Box Takeoff

Drag a box over existing geometry.

Use for: Selecting multiple pieces of geometry to create a quick takeoff.

1. In the Quantification workbook, select the Item you want to associate with your takeoff.
2. On the 2D Takeoff toolbar, click Quick Box .
3. On the 2D sheet, drag a box around existing geometry. The selection is highlighted and the Quick Box menu appears.
4. From the Quick Box menu, click a geometry option from the following:
   1. Largest boundary, least line segments.
   2. Largest boundary, most line segments.
   3. As option a, but with similar connected geometries.
   4. As option b, but with similar connected geometries.
   5. All connected geometries.

Your geometry selection is highlighted on the sheet, and the takeoff appears in the Quantification workbook. If your selection contains several geometries, they will appear as separate takeoffs under your selected item.
