Output Control dialog (PartMaker)

Use the Output Control dialog to control the content and format of NC output that PartMaker creates.

To display this dialog, click the Output Control button in the Post Options dialog.

The following settings are available:

Strip Comments

• Comment Type
  • Round Brackets — Select this option if you want comments in round brackets to be considered for stripping.
  • Semicolon — Select this option if you want comments after semicolons to be considered for stripping.
• Tool Names — Select to remove tool names from the NC program if they appear in the selected comment type.
• Tool Notes — Select to remove tool notes from the NC program if they appear in the selected comment type.
• Face Names — Select to remove Face names from the NC program if they appear in the selected comment type.
• Empty Comment Line — Select to remove any empty comment lines of the type selected from the NC program.
• Face Notes — Select to remove Face notes from the NC program if they appear in the selected comment type.
• Group Name — Select to remove group names from the NC program if they appear in the selected comment type.
• Text — Select to remove any text from the NC program that appears in the selected comment type.

Convert Inch to Metric — Select to convert inch data into metric. If you are using metric units, the button enables you to convert metric data into inches.

Text Output

• Strip Spaces Between Characters — Select to remove spaces between characters from the NC program.
• Strip Empty Lines — Select to remove empty lines from the NC program.
• Strip Strings — Select to remove the strings you enter in the field below this option from the NC program. To remove more than one string, separate each string using a vertical car.

  The characters in this field are not case sensitive.

Number Output

• Strip Leading Zeros — Select to remove any leading zeros from numbers in the NC program. For example: 0.1 appears as .1
• Strip Trailing Zeros — Select to remove any trailing zeros from numbers in the NC program. For example: 1.0 appears as 1.
• Strip Decimal Point — Select to remove the decimal from numbers that end on a decimal point from the NC program. For example: 1. appears as 1
