Select this option to run Full Machine Simulation (FMS).
Use Full Machine Simulation to:
- Simulate all machining processes as they appear in the Process Table.
- Observe the results of any process synchronization.
- Examine a solid model of the part through dynamic rotation and cross-sectioning.
- Automatically check that all tool numbers assigned in the Tools database are assigned correctly for your specific machine model.
- Detect crashes, collisions and errors between various machine components and the part.
- Detect any machine overtravels on-screen.
- View a realistic 3D model of your machine, including its tool holders and other components.
- Import solid models for all simulated entities and add components (such as turret slides or milling tables) to these entities to model the kinematics of the machine.
- Add tool holders to the simulation and mount multiple tools per holder.
You can save details of machine models for use in Full Machine Simulation in Machine Data files. These files have:
- a .mch file extension in PartMaker/SwissCAM and PartMaker/Turn-Mill.
- a .mchdat file extension in PartMaker/Mill.
