The status bar displays the cursor position, alignment information, and the status of the machine connection.
The Status bar at the bottom of the
PowerInspect window displays the:
- Active alignment
- Name of the current probe
- Average temperature of each axis and the part (if the measuring device and protocol support temperature measurement)
- Current grid mode
- Coordinates of the cursor in the CAD view
- Status of the measuring device
Note: The mouse coordinates are accurate only in orthogonal views.
Connection Status
When
PowerInspect is connected to a CMM, the connection status is displayed in the Status bar. For example:
When no document is open, the status bar shows the status of the connection between
PowerInspect and the measuring device:

Not Connected —
PowerInspect is not connected.

Machine OK —
PowerInspect is connected.
When one or more documents are open, the status bar shows the status of the connection between the active document and the measuring device:

Not Connected —
PowerInspect and the active document are not connected.

Document Offline —
PowerInspect is connected, but the active document is not.

Machine OK —
PowerInspect and the active document are connected.
The status bar can also display the following information messages:

Not Homed — The measuring device is not homed.

Home Completed — The homing procedure has completed successfully.

Machine Warning — The machine controller has issued a warning message.

Machine Error — The machine controller has issued an error message.

Busy — The machine is performing a CNC action.

Action — The machine is moving.

Stop — The machine's Stop button has been pressed.
Note: Busy,
Action, and
Stop apply only to CNC machines.
The status of the measuring device is also indicated by the colour of the
Connection
icon in the Windows taskbar:

Red — Not connected to the measuring device.
-
Green — Connected to the measuring device but not taking points.
-
Yellow — Taking calibration points.

Blue — Taking measurement points.
