Use the Feeds and speeds page to specify the speeds for each movement type in an inspection probe path.
Approach feed rate — Enter the speed of the probe as it moves between the safe area and the Approach Distance.
Measure feed rate — Enter the speed of the probe as it searches for the surface, starting from the Approach Distance. The probe continues at this speed up to the Search Distance.
Connection feed rate — Enter the speed of the probe as it moves within the safe area between approaches
. This is typically a smaller value than machine tool rapid moves, as sudden accelerations can cause the probe to inappropriately trigger.
