To copy Pattern segments to a new Pattern entity

Use the Duplicate Selected item to create a new Pattern entity which contains only the selected curves from the active Pattern.

To copy selected Pattern segments to a new Pattern:

1. Ensure the curves you want to copy belong to the active Pattern.
2. Press and hold the Shift key then graphically select the curves you want to copy.
3. Click Pattern tab > Active panel > Duplicate > Duplicate Selected.

   A new Pattern containing the selected curves is added to the explorer. It has the same name as the original with _1 appended to it
