Pattern Maker dialog

Use the Automatic Pattern Generation dialog to create a pattern between curves.

This dialog contains the following:

• Across Pattern one-way
• Across Pattern two-way (zigzag)
• Along Pattern one way
• Along Pattern two-way (zigzag)
• Offset Pattern
• Trochoidal Pattern
• Stepover — Enter the distance between one offset (or trochoid) and the next.
• Left Distance — Enter the distance of the pattern to the left of the curve. This option is available only when you select a single curve.
• Right Distance — Enter the distance of the pattern to the right of the curve. This option is available only when you select a single curve.

For Trochoidal Patterns, you can specify the Width, Radius and Direction.

The pattern that you create remains selected. This means that, if it is not the pattern you want, you can delete it by selecting Edit > Delete Selected Components from either the Patterns context menu or the individual pattern context menu. These options delete only the newly created pattern, not the curves used to generate them.
