This example shows you how to create a boundary on a surface. It uses the
Speaker.dgk in the
Examples folder.
- Select the surface from which you want to create your boundary.
- Click Boundary tab > Edit panel > Curve Editor to display the
Curve Editor tab.
- Click Curve Editor tab > Create panel > Curves > Composite to display the
Create Composite Curve toolbar.
- Select the surface edge.
- Sketch the curve around the boundary of the surface.
- Click the
button (now highlighted) on the
Create Composite Curve
toolbar to save the boundary curve.
- Click
on the
Create Composite Curve
toolbar to end save the created curves and close the toolbar.
- Click Curve Editor tab > Finish panel > Accept to save your changes.
The boundary curve is displayed in
PowerMill. If you cannot see it, undraw the wireframe and shaded view by clicking:
- View tab > Appearance panel > Shade > Plain.
- View tab > Appearance panel > Wireframe.
Note: This boundary can now be used in the same way as any other boundary to help generate toolpaths.
