Adding a General property to a drawing template

To add a general property to a drawing template, or use a substitution string when adding annotation to a model:

1. Click Annotation tab > Text panel > Horizontal.
2. Click a position on the drawing where the text will be positioned.
3. Enter a label, if required:

   

4. Click on the Text toolbar to display the Text Substitutions dialog:

   

5. Select the required substitution string.

   

6. Select Live value option to re-evaluate the substitution whenever the text is drawn.
7. Click Apply.

   

8. Click Cancel and click the drawing to display the substituted text. In this example, the name of the model was sub-text.
