Placing wireframe between objects

The Place option places a curve between two points on a single object or on separate objects. The curve is copied from a selected wireframe item.

To place wireframe between two points:

  1. Click Edit tab > Align panel > Place.

    Two points are displayed on the selected wireframe and the Position curve dialog is displayed:

  2. Select the wireframe item you want to place:

    You can use any open curve or line.

  3. Select Position 1; the first position on an object where you want the new curve to touch:

  4. Select Position 2; the second position on an object where you want the new curve to touch:

  5. Use the other options to adjust the position of the curve:
    • Select Reverse curve to reverse the new curve.
    • Select Keep to keep the original wireframe. Deselect to deletethe original wireframe.
    • Select Proportional scale to resize the new curve by keeping its ratio of width to height.
    • Rotate allows you to specify an angle of rotation or you can use the slider to rotate the new curve. The curve rotates between the two points.

      The example below shows the curve rotated to -90.

  6. Click Apply to create the new curve with the specified options.
