When a grouped workplane is active, any geometry created is grouped with the workplane. A relationship is built between this geometry and the workplane. A grouped workplane has a dashed line style appearance when deactivated.
To make an existing workplane into a grouped workplane, use one of the following methods:
- Double-click the workplane to display the
Workplane dialog, and select
Group.
- Right-click the workplane to display the
Workplane context menu, and select
Group.
To stop creating geometry grouped with a workplane,use one of the following methods:
- Deselect the
Group option on the
Workplane dialog or
Workplane context menu
- Deactivate the workplane.
To create all future workplanes as grouped:
- Click File > Options > Application Options to display the
Options dialog.
- Select the
Object > Workplanes page.
- Select
Grouped.
- Click
OK.
To add objects to an active workplane group:
- Ensure the group workplane is active.
- Select the objects.
- Click Workplane tab > Group panel > Add to Group.
To remove objects from any grouped workplane:
- Select the objects.
- Click Workplane tab > Group panel > Remove from Group.
