Personalizing the BOM spreadsheet

To include personalized information on a BOM spreadsheet, (for example, a logo), you must first set up a spreadsheet (.xlsx) template as a user-specific file:

  1. Create a spreadsheet (.xlsx) saved to your user-specific folder, named either:
    • bom.xlsx for a Bill of Materials
    • schedule.xlsx for a hole schedule
    • schedule_ejector.xlsx for an ejector schedule.
  2. The location of the user-specific files (for example custom toolbars and shortcuts) is structured so that these files are stored in xxxx\PowerShape, where xxxx is one of the following:
    • C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\ )
    • the location that is indicated by your HOME variable.
  3. In the middle of your bom.xlsx spreadsheet, create a single cell that contains the text Insert data here.
Note: This text must not be translated.
  4. Add personalized details above or below the single text cell, in the positions you want the details to be displayed on the spreadsheet.
  5. Remove column headings from the spreadsheet template; these will be copied from the PowerShape BOM.
  6. Use Excel's formatting for headers and footers in the spreadsheet template.

When you create a BOM spreadsheet by saving to file, the bom.xlsx spreadsheet is copied into the BOM and data from the Bill of Materials dialog is inserted at the location of this single cell.
